Length beats complexity
A long password (12+ characters) is harder to crack than a short one full of odd symbols. Every extra character makes it exponentially safer.

Use a different password everywhere
If one service is breached, reused passwords expose all your accounts at once. One unique password per site prevents this.

Avoid personal details
Names, birthdays, pets and towns are easy to guess or find online. Keep them out of your password.
